East Rock Institute is a nonprofit research, educational, and cultural organization. Founded in 1952, the Institute's basic purpose is the enhancement and deepening of cultural understanding between Eastern and Western societies through innovative approaches to research and teaching. Current programs include annual conferences and seminars, instructional and research-oriented websites, ongoing publications and consulting services.
